Richard Kerschner is the current CEO at DirectBooks. Prior to their current position, Kerschner held various positions at different companies. From August 2018 to November 2021, Kerschner was a Mentor for Barclays/Techstars Accelerator at Rise, created by Barclays - the Home of FinTech. In this role, Kerschner created and led the corporate development function for the global settlement bank of the FX industry. Richard was also a key member of the management team that transformed CLS and its commercial, governance, strategic, operating and risk frameworks in order to meet the regulatory qualifications of a systemically important financial market utility (SIFMU) under Dodd-Frank. Kerschner regularly represented CLS before its Oversight Committee of 22 central banks.
From June 2018 to March 2020, Kerschner was a Board Observer at DrumG Technologies. DrumG Technologies was acquired by Symphony in June 2021 and offered a cloud communications platform that revolutionized the way financial services firms use, capture and analyze voice communications. Investors included JP Morgan, Barclays, CME Group, UBS, and Point72.
From February 2018 to January 2019, Kershner was a Senior Advisor at Elixirr.
Richard Kerschner attended the University of Pennsylvania for their Bachelor's degree. Richard then went on to Georgetown University Law Center for their Doctor of Law (J.D.). Richard also has a certificate in Investment Banking from NYU School of Professional Studies.
