Jean Giard

Jean Giard currently serves as Chargé de mission at the Mission recodification du code des douanes français within the Direction générale des douanes et droits indirects (DGDDI) since October 2023. Previously, Jean has lectured in International and European Tax Law at CY Cergy Paris Université and covered various subjects including Tax Law, Digital Economy, and Public Finance at the Faculty of Law - UCLy. Additionally, Jean worked as a Mission Manager at Aix-Marseille University, focusing on the Master 2 Tax Law, Customs Course, and held various teaching and research positions during academic pursuits. Educational achievements include a PhD in International Tax Law and advanced degrees in Customs Law and Tax Law from Aix-Marseille University, as well as foundational degrees in Law from UVSQ. Early career experience includes internships in tax law and civil liberties within governmental ministries.
