Frederic Sauvage serves as the Chairman of the ITU Council and has previously held the position of Vice Chairman, alongside leading the Council Working Group on Strategic and Financial Plans since August 2021. In addition, Frederic Sauvage is a Multilateral Negotiations Officer on Digital Issues at the Directorate General for Enterprise, representing France in international forums such as the International Telecommunication Union and the G20 Digital Task Force. Responsibilities also include overseeing the development of a loan guarantee scheme for small businesses to fund digitalization projects in collaboration with various financial institutions. Previous experience includes serving as the Councilor for Industry and Innovation at the French Embassy in Japan and as the Deputy Head of various divisions within the French Treasury. Frederic Sauvage holds a Master's degree in Public Affairs from Sciences Po and has participated in exchange programs at institutions such as Irkutsk State University and The Johns Hopkins University.
