Directional Entertainment is a Los Angeles-based independent production company founded by writer-director Mark Landre Gould and producer-writer Richard George Hocutt (Gone Are the Days, Lionsgate/Grindstone). Together, they’ve written and produced over 100 episodes of television across multiple formats.

We develop and produce character-driven, commercially minded films and TV, from absurd action-comedies to biopics and prestige drama.

Current projects include:
– El Grandpa, a cross-border, comedic action feature in development
– Mahalia!, a music biopic based on the life of gospel legend Mahalia Jackson
– Darth Raider, a psychological sports drama based on the true story of NFL icon Lyle Alzado
– Daddy’s Little Girl, a heartfelt, character-driven dramedy series
