Marie Jamora is an accomplished filmmaker, educator, and advocate for underrepresented voices in the film industry. As the Chief Creative Officer and Founder of Indie Pop Films, Marie focuses on telling stories that reflect the Asian and Asian-American experience with an emphasis on Philippine culture. In addition to leading this production collective, Marie has co-founded Cinema Sala, which promotes Filipino cinema through screenings and educational programs. Current roles include Co-Chair of the Women's Steering Committee at the Directors Guild of America and Producer-Director for an upcoming Starz limited series. Marie's directing credits span numerous television series and films, demonstrating a commitment to storytelling that resonates with diverse audiences. Marie holds an M.F.A. in Film from Columbia University and has participated in the Directing Workshop for Women at the American Film Institute.
