David Perry Watkins has an extensive work experience in product management and design. In 2004, they began their career as a Senior Product Manager for Performance at VF Corporation for JanSport. David Perry then moved on to Incase Designs in 2008 as a Senior Director of Product and Director of RD&D, where they managed product design and development lifecycles. In 2010, they became the Director of China Operations at Jawbone, leading program management during the development and launch of various products. In 2011, they joined Skullcandy Inc. as the Director of Global Mobility and built and ran a new mobility case and accessory category. From 2012 to 2014, they were the CEO, Chief Creative and Founder of ADOPTED, Inc., a fashionable tech accessories brand and design consultancy. David Perry then co-founded Caeden, Inc. in 2014 as the Chief Creative Officer, merging best in class technology with considered design. Finally, in 2018, they became the CEO and Co-Founder of Dirty Labs, a cleaning innovations lab creating high performance, hyper-efficient eco cleaners.
David Perry Watkins attended St. Mary's International in Tokyo, Japan from 1987 to 1993. David Perry then transferred to Newport Harbor High School from 1993 to 1995. David Perry then attended UC San Diego from 1995 to 1999, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government. In 2000, they attended Beijing Language and Culture University for a one year intensive language program in Chinese.
