Kate Hamilton has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Kate began their career as a Field Manager at Cal PIRG in 1998 and later served as a China Fellow at the Shansi Memorial Association in 2002. From 2004 to 2009, they worked at C.E.O. Women, first as a Program Director and later as the Director of Development. In 2009, they became the Development Director at NatureBridge, where they led national fundraising efforts and collaborated with senior leadership to expand the organization's environmental education programs. In 2012, Kate served as a Fundraising Advisor at Net Impact, providing recommendations to enhance individual donor fundraising initiatives. Kate then joined Disability Rights Advocates (DRA) in 2013, first as a Development Director and later as the Development & Communications Director. Kate also served as the Interim Operations Director and took on the role of Interim Executive Director for a period of time. At DRA, they played a crucial role in fundraising and communications efforts, supporting the organization's mission of advocating for the rights of people with disabilities. Additionally, they served as an Advisory Board Member at Kitchen Table Advisors from 2014 to 2015. With their extensive experience in development, operations, and communications, Kate has made significant contributions to various nonprofit organizations throughout their career.

Kate Hamilton attended Oberlin College from 2000 to 2002 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Environmental Studies. Following that, they pursued a Master of Non Profit Management degree at the University of San Francisco from 2007 to 2009.
