Rebecca Williford has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Rebecca started their career in 2006 as a Summer Associate at Carolina Legal Assistance: A Mental Disability Law Project, followed by roles as a Summer Associate at the National Health Law Program and a Summer Associate at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. In 2008, they worked as a Summer Law Clerk at Disability Rights Advocates. Rebecca then joined Disability Rights North Carolina as an Extern in 2008. In 2009, Rebecca returned to Disability Rights Advocates and held various positions, including LD Access/Ryder Foundation Fellowship Attorney, Staff Attorney, Senior Staff Attorney, Managing Attorney, Deputy Director of Litigation, and Acting President & CEO/Deputy Director of Litigation. Currently, they serve as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Disability Rights Advocates.
Rebecca Williford pursued their higher education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1999 to 2004. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Following their undergraduate studies, Rebecca Williford enrolled at the University of North Carolina School of Law, where they pursued a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law. Rebecca attended law school from 2005 to 2009, completing their legal education.
