Mike Marotta is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in assistive technology and education. Currently serving as the Director of The Richard West Assistive Technology Advocacy Center at Disability Rights New Jersey, Marotta is dedicated to increasing accessibility for individuals with disabilities. As the owner and consultant at Inclusive Technology Solutions, LLC, Marotta provides expert evaluations, training, and professional learning experiences. Marotta has also contributed to academia as an adjunct professor at both Ramapo College of New Jersey and California State University, Northridge, teaching courses related to assistive technology. Marotta's previous roles include manager of professional learning at Learning Ally and leadership positions with the New Jersey Coalition for the Advancement of Assistive and Rehabilitation Technology (NJCART). Disability Rights New Jersey is a private, non-profit, consumer-directed organization established to: - Advocate for and advance the human, civil and legal rights of citizens of New Jersey with disabilities; - Promote public awareness and recognition of individuals with disabilities as equally entitled members of society; - Advise and assist persons with disabilities, family members, attorneys and guardians in obtaining and protecting the rights of individuals with disabilities; and - Provide education, training and technical assistance to individuals with disabilities, the agencies that serve them, advocates, attorneys, professionals, courts and others regarding the rights of individuals with disabilities.
