Iris Green, Esquire, has extensive experience in legal advocacy for individuals with disabilities, currently serving as the Director of Constituent Services and Supervising Attorney for the Disaster Recovery Project at Disability Rights North Carolina since 2007. In this role, Iris leads programs that ensure disaster preparedness and recovery for people with disabilities and vulnerable populations. Previously, Iris held the position of Special Counsel at the Governor's Advocacy Council for Persons with Disabilities, focusing on legal remedies to advance the rights of individuals with disabilities, and served as a Staff Attorney at Legal Aid of North Carolina, providing representation for low-income clients, particularly in domestic violence cases. Iris earned a Juris Doctor degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from South Carolina State University.
