Meredith Austin

Meredith Austin is a seasoned crisis and emergency management leader with over 30 years of executive experience in the U.S. Coast Guard. After retiring, they founded Mer Crisis Advisors, where they provide strategic counsel and training to senior leaders on crisis leadership and incident management. Meredith also serves as a Senior Advisor to Disaster Tech Inc., contributing expertise to enhance crisis management platforms across sectors. Notable among their past roles were senior leadership positions responding to significant events, including the 9/11 attacks and the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. They hold multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Arts in National Defense Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School.
