Elton Cunha

Elton Cunha, MSc., is an experienced professional in risk management and disaster preparedness, currently serving as a guest professor at Global Intel Brasil and a member of the Advisory Panel at The Crisis Response Journal. Elton also holds a position on the Advisory Board for Disasters Expo USA 2024/2025 and teaches humanitarian logistics in a postgraduate course at Unyleya Educacional. Previously, Elton was the Civil Defense Director and Disaster and Emergency Manager for Barra Velha city and coordinated state-level civil defense policies for the Federação Catarinense de Municípios. As an assistant instructor for USAID and coordinator for civil defense boards at regional and state levels, Elton has developed expertise in disaster prevention, education, and community mobilization. Academically, Elton possesses multiple postgraduate qualifications in emergency management, disaster protection, compliance, and logistics, complemented by a bachelor's degree in logistics management. Currently pursuing a degree in Mathematics at Faculdade Venda Nova do Imigrante, Elton continues to enhance a robust professional background dedicated to public safety and disaster resilience.
