Lorna Riach

Lorna Riach is an accomplished professional in quality assurance and compliance, currently serving as the Executive Director of GMP Quality Assurance at Disc Medicine since April 2025. Previously, Lorna held various leadership roles at bluebird bio from September 2017 to April 2025, including Vice President of Quality Assurance, where oversight of GxP activities and quality systems for clinical and commercial products was emphasized. Lorna's extensive experience also includes significant positions at Boston Children's Hospital from May 2001 to September 2017, including Quality Program Manager in the Laboratory Medicine Department, where Lorna developed compliance solutions for laboratory testing. Lorna holds a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science from Northeastern University and a Master of Arts in Critical and Creative Thinking from UMass Boston.
