Melanie Chin

Melanie Chin has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Melanie currently holds the position of Executive Medical Director and Head of Medical Affairs at Disc Medicine, starting in October 2022. Prior to that, Melanie served at Reata Pharmaceuticals, Inc. for a significant portion of their career. At Reata, they held various roles, including Vice President of Product Strategy from January 2021 to May 2022, Associate Vice President of Product Strategy from 2019 to 2021, and Product Development from 2010 to 2019.

Melanie Chin earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry from North Carolina State University, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Melanie then pursued further education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical Engineering from 2004 to 2010.
