Gurkirat Sidhu

Gurkirat Sidhu has a diverse work experience, starting in 2012 as a Sound and Light Technician at Mennonite Brethren Collegiate Institute, followed by a role as a Building Supervisor at UBC in 2016. In 2018, Gurkirat took on the role of Robotics Instructor at Daedalos Enrichment Programs, followed by an Agile Developer role at SAP in 2019. In 2021, Gurkirat became a Software Developer - Web Application at Sierra Wireless, and is currently a Full-stack Developer at Disco since 2022. Throughout these roles, Gurkirat has implemented algorithms, fixed UI navigation bugs, expanded testing frameworks, and coordinated with teams to lead successful shows.

Gurkirat Sidhu attended Mennonite Brethen Collegiate Institute from 2012 to 2015 and obtained a High School Diploma. Gurkirat then attended Simon Fraser University from 2018 to 2022 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science - Software Systems. In addition, Gurkirat Sidhu has obtained two certifications from Udemy, one in Python for Data Science and Machine Learning Bootcamp in September 2020, and another in Modern React Bootcamp (Hooks, Context, NextJS, Router) in June 2020.
