Gina Akers has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Gina has worked as an Experiential Events & Festivals Lead for Discogs.com, where they focused on initiatives such as Discogs Record Fairs and interactive experiences in music event environments.

As the MD & Founder of BLENDID Media & Artists, Gina represented music acts and creatives for live bookings and sync licensing. Gina managed a roster of artists from different genres and prioritized a smaller number of acts to avoid competition within the agency.

Gina has also established herself as a top 10% social media influencer, with expertise in beauty and lifestyle. Gina has been a judge for the INFLUENCER MARKETING AWARDS and a head judge for the UK BLOG & INFLUENCER AWARDS. Gina is an expert blogger, vlogger, and influencer, known for their regular and guest blog writing.

In the television and media industry, Gina has worked as a TV presenter and radio presenter for various shows and channels, including ITV's This Morning, ITV's The Alan Titchmarsh Show, and BBC One/Two's 'Fake Britain'. Gina has also provided voice-overs for different platforms.

Lastly, Gina has been a drive time radio show presenter and producer for Swindon 105.5 Radio, where they presented weather, traffic, and travel news, as well as produced features and content.

Gina Akers BA (Hons) LCGI has a diverse education history in various fields. Gina began their educational journey in 2002, earning an HND in Business with Merit from Edexcel & Pearson UK. In the same year, they also obtained the City & Guilds LCGI Senior Award Licentiateship in Administration and the City & Guilds LCGI Senior Award Licentiateship in Beauty Therapy.

Continuing their academic pursuits, Gina attended Oxford Brookes University from 2002 to 2003, where they earned a BA Hons degree in Business & Management with an Upper Second Class Honors 2:1. During this time, they specialized in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services.

In 2003, Gina obtained the BA Hons Business and Management Degree from Oxford Brookes University.

Returning to education in 2020, Gina pursued a Masters Degree in MA Music Industry Management & Artist Development from both the University of West London and the London School of Music. Gina completed this degree in 2021.

Additionally, Gina has acquired a range of certifications throughout their career. Notable certifications include the Music Business Fundamentals Certificate obtained from SMB: The School of Music Business in April 2021, the Award in Digital Promotion for Business from NCFE in November 2017, the VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Cutting Hair (QCF) in May 2014, and the Certificate in Building Websites with Dreamweaver from New College, Swindon in October 2011.

Other certifications include the Level 1 Counselling Certificate from New College Swindon in May 2010, the A1 NVQ Assessor Award (OCR Level 3) from OCR in September 2009, the NVQ Level 1 Hairdressing (all units) from VTCT in July 2009, and the NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing (units G1, G5, G7, H9, H13, G4, G6, G8) also from VTCT in July 2009.
