Jeffrey Smith has worked in the marketing and communications industry for over two decades. From 2000 to 2002, they served as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations Manager for the Louisville Ballet. During this time, they were responsible for devising marketing and communications plans and strategies that improved brand awareness, boosted audience growth, and drove bottom-line results. In 2002, they were hired as the VP of Marketing and Publicity for Label X Records. In 2014, they became the Owner and Managing Partner of Do502, an event discovery platform in Louisville. During their time there, they drove rapid user acquisition growth and retention by executing a lean and agile social media, influencer, and content strategy. In 2017, they became the Director of Marketing, Director of Communications and Partnerships, and Lead of Public Relations and Strategic Partnerships for Discogs, where they are helping to construct and lead the company's overall strategic roadmap.
Jeffrey Smith obtained a Bachelor of Music (BM) degree in Music Performance, General from the University of the Cumberlands between 1991 and 1995. Jeffrey has also obtained several certifications, including a Section4 Certified Brand Strategist (October 2021), Inbound Certified (February 2022), Inbound Sales Certified (January 2022), Sales Enablement Certified (January 2022), Frictionless Sales Certified (January 2022), HubSpot Sales Software Certified (January 2022), and Sales Management Certification (January 2022) from HubSpot.
