Apurva Luty is currently the Head of UX Research & Product Strategy at Discord, and also serves as the Head of Product Marketing, Growth Strategy & Consumer Insights. Prior to this role, Apurva held multiple positions at Meta from September 2018 to August 2022, including Global Head of Product Marketing Insights for the Metaverse & Quest, and Strategy & Operations Lead for Reality Labs. Previous experience includes serving as Sr. Marketing Research Manager and Marketing Research Manager at Microsoft, and a Senior Consultant at Hitachi Consulting. Apurva's career began at Ecova as an Energy Research and Policy Analyst. Education includes a B.A. in Planning, Public Policy and Management and Economics from the University of Oregon, a Coding Boot Camp in Computer Science from UC Berkeley Extension, and a B.S. in Biology/Pre-med from The George Washington University.
