Joshua Perline

Joshua Perline is a Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in safety and anti-abuse technologies, currently working at Discord since September 2022. Prior to Discord, Joshua held a Senior Software Engineer position at Twitter focused on anti-abuse measures from June 2019 to August 2022. Joshua's career began at Pandora, where roles included Senior Software Engineer overseeing core applications and anti-spam efforts, as well as a Software Engineer focused on content and personalization. Joshua also served as an Undergraduate Student Instructor at UC Berkeley for a jazz course and participated in internships at Pandora and Lumosity. Joshua holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and is currently pursuing a Professional Program in Screenwriting at UCLA, while also having studied at the California Jazz Conservatory.
