Michael Poon

Michael Poon is the current head of financial systems at Discord. Michael has over 20 years of experience in finance and has held various leadership positions in both public and private companies. Prior to joining Discord, Michael was the VP of business systems for the Flex Energy Solutions Division. In this role, they were responsible for designing the business systems architecture to scale NEXTracker, as well as architecting and managing the implementation of NetSuite, Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Service Cloud, Salesforce CPQ, Jira Service Desk (on-prem), Confluence, Microsoft Power BI, SpringCM and Mulesoft, Adaptive Insights.

Before joining Flex, Michael was the head of finance at RiskIQ, where they were responsible for leading the finance team and overseeing all financial operations. Michael also has experience working in various other finance roles, including as a financial analyst and controller. Michael is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of California, Berkeley.

Michael Poon attended Northwestern University, Santa Clara University, and Boston College. Michael majored in Mechanical Engineering, Accounting, and Biology respectively. Michael also attended Prospect High School.
