Deryl Heitman

Deryl Heitman has over 30 years of work experience in various roles within the IT industry. Deryl started their career at Virginia Mutual Insurance as a Programmer/Analyst from 1990 to 1992. Deryl then worked at World Access as a Programmer/Analyst from 1992 to 1993, a Sr. Programmer/Analyst from 1993 to 1994, and finally as a Project Manager from 1994 to 1995. From there, they joined Lockheed Martin IMS as a Sr. Programmer/Analyst from 1996 to 1998. In 1998, they started working at Discount Tire, where they held multiple senior director positions, including Director of IT Strategy Planning & Business Services from 2016 to 2018, and Senior Director of IT Business Services from 2019 to 2020. Deryl is currently serving as the Senior Director of IT POS since October 2021. Additionally, they also had a role as the BRM Council Vice Chair at the Business Relationship Management Institute from 2014 to 2018.

Deryl Heitman attended the Boston University Questrom School of Business in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Business Relationship Management Professional Certification from the Business Relationship Management Institute in 2014. In 2012, they completed the SOA Certified Architect Workshop from Arcitura IT Certified Professionals. Deryl also studied at ECPI University from 1988 to 1990 and Southeast Missouri State University from 1983 to 1984, however, the degree names and fields of study for these institutions are unknown. In addition to their education, Deryl has earned several certifications, including Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP®) from APMG International in 2014, SOA Certified Architect from Arcitura Certified IT Professionals in 2012, SOA Certified Professional from Arcitura IT Certified Professionals in 2012, and TOGAF 9 Certified Architect from The Open Group in 2012.
