Leslie Smith

Leslie Smith is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience across various sectors, including nonprofit, education, and corporate environments. Currently serving as a Senior Communications Specialist at Discount Tire since June 2019, Leslie develops and executes internal communication strategies that align with People Care objectives. Previously, as Communications and Marketing Manager at VALLEYLIFE, Leslie managed marketing initiatives for a nonprofit that supports individuals with disabilities. Notably, Leslie founded Friends of Sandy Creek to oppose a confined animal feeding operation, leading community outreach and advocacy efforts. Additional roles include coordinating communications for Lostant Elementary School, managing operations and communications at American Interactive, and overseeing client and financial management as Office Manager for BSI and Peterson Architecture. Leslie holds a Master’s degree in Operations Management and Information Systems from Northern Illinois University, a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Southern Illinois University, and an Associate’s degree in Business Administration from John A. Logan Community College.
