Brian Shaw

Brian Shaw serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Discovery Education. With extensive experience in financial leadership, Brian previously held the position of Vice President of Investments, Corporate Development, and Investor Relations at Red Ventures, along with a role as Director of Financial Analysis. Additionally, Brian's career includes membership on the Board of Directors for CourseHorse and various senior management roles at Time Warner Cable, focusing on financial planning, analysis, and accounting policy. Early in the career, Brian gained valuable experience as a Senior Associate in Audit at Ernst & Young. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and a Master of Science in Accountancy from Wake Forest University, earned between 1999 and 2004.
