Joe M. serves as the VP, Corporate Controller & Treasurer at Discovery Education since July 2018, where responsibilities include team development, ERP implementation, and management of financial processes across multiple regions. Under Joe M.'s leadership, the accounting and financial reporting team expanded from 5 to 19 members due to growth and acquisitions. Significant achievements include overseeing the successful implementation of Sage Intacct, managing financial audits, and integrating accounting processes for business acquisitions. Prior roles include Director of SEC Reporting at SPX FLOW, Inc. and Senior Manager of Legal Entity Accounting at Snyder's-Lance, Inc. Joe M. holds a Master's degree and two Bachelor's degrees in Accounting and Finance from the University of South Carolina.
