Barbara Brumfield

Barbara Brumfield is an experienced educator and sales professional with a diverse background spanning several decades. Currently serving as a Middle School Mathematics Educator at Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy since August 2018, Barbara previously taught mathematics at The Archdiocese of New Orleans. Barbara's teaching expertise includes developing lesson plans aligned with common core standards and preparing students for standardized testing. Prior to a career in education, Barbara held various managerial positions at Cox Communications, where responsibilities included building sales teams and implementing strategic plans to drive revenue. Barbara's earlier experience includes teaching elementary students with the Jefferson Parish School Board and holding multiple roles in sales and support at AT&T and South Central Bell. Barbara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Holy Cross.
