Ian Cannon is an experienced educator with a diverse background in science teaching and paleontology. Currently serving as a Physical Science and Physics Teacher at Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy since June 2019, Ian previously taught high school science at Holy Rosary Academy & High School, covering subjects such as Earth Science and Chemistry. Ian has a strong foundation in hands-on science education, tailoring lesson plans to meet the needs of different learners while promoting an inclusive classroom environment. Additional professional experience includes roles as a substitute teacher, collections specialist at the Florida Museum of Natural History, and paleontology intern with the Bureau of Land Management. Ian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Geology with a concentration in Vertebrate Paleontology from Louisiana State University.
