Candace Schourek

Candace Schourek is a dedicated mental health professional currently working as a Mental Health Technician at the Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program since July 2023. Previously, Candace interned at the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services from January 2023 to May 2023, where responsibilities included creating and facilitating therapeutic activities for children and adolescents at the Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents. Additionally, Candace served as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Chair for Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority from January 2022 to January 2023, focusing on educational programs that promote equity and inclusion. Candace earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from James Madison University in 2023 and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Marymount University.
