Senior Advanced Product Engineer – Zeeland, Michigan

DISHER is currently partnering with a local company seeking a creative engineer to join their team as part of their Advanced Engineering group. The engineer will be responsible for applying new concepts and technology to create innovative products within the building industry. This role involves developing and bringing new products to market, collaborating within a team-based environment, and ensuring products meet customer needs through rigorous testing and development processes.

  • Develop DFMEA, DVP&R’s, Test Plans, Cost Estimates, Prototypes, etc.
  • Work within a stage gate process to ensure successful product development.
  • Juggle multiple projects at various stages of development.
  • Contribute to an inspired team culture with a "can do" attitude.
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field and 8+ years of hands-on new product experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with design and manufacture of injection molded products preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with glass or building products is a plus.
  • Project and time management skills, comfortable in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Practical experience with DOE, DFMEA, and capability studies.
  • Basic electronic knowledge with prototyping using Arduinos and simple coding is a plus.
