Shawn Hiemstra

Shawn Hiemstra is an experienced cybersecurity professional with a robust background in security architecture and engineering, currently serving as the Executive Director of Security Architecture & Engineering at The Walt Disney Company since October 2020. Previously, Shawn held the position of Director of Cybersecurity at Disney Parks, Experiences and Products and directed various cybersecurity initiatives at AT&T for over 15 years, including managing cloud security architecture and mobile network security. Shawn's early career included foundational roles in IT consulting and telecommunications, alongside service as a Signal Support System Specialist in the US Army. Academic achievements include a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a BS in Information Systems Security from Westwood College.
