For nearly 10 years, Despachatur was the representative in Minas Gerais of the US Consulate in Rio de Janeiro, responsible for forwarding visa applications from Minas Gerais residents to the Consulate.

It was also the only private company accredited by the Canadian Consulate of São Paulo to handle visas in Minas Gerais.
