Roman Gushel

CTO at display.io

Roman Gushel has extensive work experience in various technical roles. Roman is currently serving as the CTO at Sponsorcart.io since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at display.io as the VP of Research & Development, starting in January 2018. In this role, they provided technical leadership and contributed to process development, R&D strategy, and hiring processes. Roman also served as a Technical Team Lead at display.io from December 2018 to January 2022, where they managed the development process and led the technical team.

Before joining display.io, Roman founded and served as the CEO of Teplo, an online therapist platform, starting in May 2021. Roman has also co-founded Pepper print agency in February 2018 and worked there as a Co-Founder until May 2019.

Prior to these experiences, Roman was the Co-Founder and CTO of BAData, a web-studio and product company, from March 2014 to July 2018. During this time, they created and implemented global strategies and managed a team of up to 20 people. Roman also briefly served as a Member of the State Examination Board at Zaporizhzhya National Technical University in May 2014.

Roman's earlier work experience includes serving as a Development Team Lead at Wellink well integrated from June 2013 to March 2014. In this role, they managed a team of up to 10 people, focusing on product growth and marketing strategies. Roman also worked as a Java Software Engineer at the same company from December 2011 to June 2013, where they developed a high-load platform and maintained DB storages and CI/CD pipelines.

Roman started their career as a Full-stack Developer at Site Line in December 2009, where they worked until December 2011.

Roman Gushel pursued their education at Zaporizhzhya National Technical University from 2008 to 2013, where they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including "Management: basic managerial skills" from Kyiv Mohyla Business School in October 2019, "Machine Learning" from Coursera Course Certificates in December 2015, and "The Complete Neural Networks Bootcamp: Theory, Applications" from Udemy in April 2023.
