Athena Savvas

Athena Savvas is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in sustainability and project management. Currently serving as the Sustainability and Impact Manager at DISSH since September 2024, Athena previously held several roles at M.J. Bale, including Sustainability & Projects Manager and Retail Operations Coordinator, from September 2020 to August 2024. Athena is also the visionary and founder of Meet Her, a networking event aimed at empowering young women entering the workforce, which operated from October 2018 to April 2023. Additionally, Athena co-founded Hey Collective in mid-2020, a business consulting studio for start-ups. Earlier in the career, Athena held roles as Assistant Director and Volunteer Coordinator at MyGapYear Travel from July 2015 to May 2021. Athena holds a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences from UNSW, with a major in Psychology and Criminology, and recently completed a course in Fashion & Sustainability at the University of Technology Sydney.
