Distalmotion
James Crozier is an experienced engineering professional specializing in mechanical engineering and product development. Currently serving as the Instruments Engineering Manager for New Product Development at Distalmotion since June 2021, James leads a creative team focused on the development of robotic surgical instruments and related products. Previously, James held the role of Senior Mechanical Engineer at Distalmotion, where development efforts were directed towards instruments for laparoscopic robotic surgery with Dexter. Prior to this, James contributed as a Mechanical Design Engineer at EMS - Electro Medical Systems, working on dental devices R&D, and at eg technology Ltd. From October 2013 to June 2015, James gained experience as a Research and Development Engineer at Plexus Ocean Systems. James holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bristol, completed in 2013.
