Shun Kikuchi, CMA

Shun Kikuchi, CMA has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Currently, they hold the position of Finance Manager at Distant Lands Coffee, starting in March 2023. Prior to this role, they were a Sr Financial Analyst at the same company from October 2021 to February 2023.

Before joining Distant Lands Coffee, Shun worked at Marubeni Aerospace America Corporation as an Accounting Specialist from July 2019 to September 2021. In this role, they were responsible for daily accounting journal entries, managing monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities. Shun successfully collaborated with the operation team to improve transaction accuracy and inventory management. Additionally, they maintained strong business partner relationships and effectively resolved disputed transactions.

Shun's earlier experience includes a long tenure at Sanshin Electronics Corp. where they served as an Assistant Manager from July 2006 to January 2019. In this role, they managed and coordinated multi-million dollar accounts, leading cross-functional teams to deliver finished products to customers. Shun also negotiated business agreements and contracts to achieve business objectives while mitigating risk. Shun maintained strong client relations with existing customers and successfully acquired new projects and business.

Shun Kikuchi, CMA, earned a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from Montana State University-Bozeman from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate's Degree in Ski and Snowboard Business from Colorado Mountain College, studying from 2003 to 2004. In addition to their academic achievements, Shun has obtained several certifications, including being a Certified Management Accountant, which they obtained from Certified Management Accountant: CMA® in July 2021. Furthermore, they completed certifications in Data Visualization in Excel and Excel Fundamentals for Data Analysis from Macquarie University, obtained in December 2022 and October 2022, respectively.
