Nishantha Randunu, Ph.D. has worked in various roles since 2004. From 2004-2007, they were an Assistant Lecturer/ Research Assistant at the University of Colombo, where they taught tutorial classes of Electronics, Data Acquisition, and Signal Processing methods, designed laboratory experiments for Engineering-physics students, and designed and fabricated printed circuit boards for microcontroller programming. From 2007-2015, they held various roles at Florida Atlantic University, including Adjunct Instructor, Graduate Teaching Assistant, and Lab Instructor/ Graduate Teaching Assistant, where they taught and supervised General Physics laboratory assignments for undergraduate students, graded and tutored classes for Physics for Engineers, General Physics, and College Physics. In 2013, they were a Visiting Research Scientist at Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nürnberg. Since 2015, they have been a Software Engineer/ MATLAB & Simulink at DISTek Integration, Inc.

Nishantha Randunu, Ph.D. has an extensive education history. Nishantha completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University in 2015. Prior to that, they earned their Master's Degree in Physics from Florida Atlantic University in 2011. In 2004, they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Colombo. Nishantha also completed their High School from Ananda College, Colombo, Sri Lanka in 1998. Additionally, they obtained two certifications in 2016, namely Introduction to MBSD training and Basic training for GT-POWER from Gamma Technologies, LLC.
