Alan Leonard

Alan Leonard is the Head of Sales for DoneDeal at Distilled. Alan has been with the company since July 2019 and in their current role for just over a year. Prior to that, they were the Product Team Manager and before that, the Product Manager for supply / sellers on DoneDeal, with a primary focus on professional and private automotive supply; inclusive of Manufacturers, Dealers, Traders and Private Sellers.

In their time at DoneDeal, Alan has been instrumental in unlocking user insights; conducting market and user research to determine customer needs as well as understanding market trends, competitor forces, and industry regulations. Alan also owns the Product Vision and initiates the product road map, articulating the initiatives and features that seed the product backlog.

Alan is a problem solver who is always looking for ways to improve efficiencies and increase team outputs. Alan is also an excellent communicator, regularly updating leadership teams on progress, challenges, and needs. Alan is passionate about delivering a great user experience and oversees user acceptance testing to ensure that the user experience is always optimal.

Alan Leonard's educational career began with him completing their Leaving Certificate at St. Peter's College in Wexford, Ireland. Alan then went on to study for a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at the Institute of Technology, Carlow. During their time there they studied Visual Art, Art Alan'story and Cultural Studies. After they graduated they decided to further their education by completing a number of certification courses from various online platforms such as Lynda.com and UXTraining.com. These courses covered topics such as Design Thinking, Scrum, Agile Product Owner techniques and Train the Trainer (Lvl.6). Alan is also a Certified Scrum Product Owner from the Scrum Alliance.
