Stephanie Moreno

Stephanie Moreno has been in the spirits industry since 2000. Stephanie began their career as a Fishmonger & Team Supervisor at Central Market, where they developed a keen eye for inventory management and rotation. In 2005, they became Manager at Vintage New York, Manhattan, an equal parts wine shop and tasting room, where they developed their consultation skills around product recommendation and hand-selling. From 2006 to 2011, Stephanie worked at Astor Wines as a Spirits Buyer/Sales Manager, where they increased sales in the spirits area by 30% through curation of products sold with a prioritization on training and education for the sales staff. During this time, they also established Astor's identity as a "destination" spirits shop through a robust calendar of in-store tastings and mixology events. In 2011, Stephanie began freelancing as a Spirits Consultant, performing in store tastings for the brands Compass Box Whisky, Rhum J. M and Rhum Clement. In 2013, they joined Distiller as Editor In Chief and Spirits Director & Editor. Additionally, they have been an Expert & Opinion Maker for their own business since 2005.

Stephanie Moreno received an Advanced Certificate with Merit from the International Wine Center in 2005.
