Angela S. Serrano

Middle School Mathematics Teacher at DISTINCTIVE SCHOOLS

Angela S. Serrano is an experienced educator currently serving as a Middle School Mathematics Teacher at Distinctive Schools since August 2020. Previously, Angela held positions including Middle School Resident Teacher and Math & Reading Tutor at Kumon North America, where responsibilities included grading homework, developing individualized work plans, and assessing students' proficiency. Angela has also contributed as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign within the Mathematics Department, offering support to future educators, and has worked as a mathematics tutor at Edison Middle School. Additional experience includes roles as a Program Leader at Skokie Park District, co-coordinating the Filipino Americans Coming Together Conference, and serving as an Engineering Assistant at Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation. Angela holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Dominican University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
