Matilda Brodnax, J.D., has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution and legal roles, currently serving as Deputy ADR Director and Acting Deputy ADR Director at FEMA since December 2012. In addition to these roles, Matilda has worked as an ADR Attorney and Leadership Coaching Branch Chief at FEMA and has been a Volunteer Mediator and Arbitrator for the DC Bar since March 2005. Matilda's previous positions include Acting Associate Ombudsman for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and Assistant General Counsel for Alternative Dispute Resolution at the Department of the Navy. Matilda also held the position of ADR Attorney at FEMA earlier in their career and was the Manager of Labor Arbitration and Mediation Administration at WMATA. Matilda earned a Juris Doctorate from William & Mary Law School and a Bachelor of Science from Old Dominion University.
