Director, Technology And Innovation at DC Sustainable Energy Utility (DCSEU)

Patti Boyd is an accomplished professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Director of Technology and Innovation at the District of Columbia Sustainable Energy Utility (DCSEU) since March 2013. In this role, Patti represents DCSEU's technical interests with external stakeholders and contributes to the Building Energy Performance Task Force. Previous positions include Senior Manager and Senior Technology Strategist at DCSEU, where Patti has been instrumental in providing financial incentives and technical assistance to help District residents and businesses reduce energy consumption and costs. Additional experience encompasses roles as Manager of Engineering at Ecova, Energy Engineer at Ecos Consulting, Technical Lead at Strategic Merchandising Partners, and various engineering and management roles within GE and Ziatech. Patti holds an MBA and MS in Engineering Management as well as a BS in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.

The District of Columbia Sustainable Energy Utility (DCSEU) helps residents and businesses in DC use less energy, save money, and cut greenhouse gas emissions. Since 2011, the DCSEU has delivered rebates, technical assistance, and information to tens of thousands of District renters, homeowners, and businesses, helping them to save millions of dollars on their energy costs. Through our work, we are creating green jobs for District residents, fostering economic opportunities for District businesses, keeping energy costs down for low-income residents, and building a brighter future for the City.
