Darren Walde

Darren Walde is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in imaging systems and automation. Currently serving as the Automation Engineering Manager at District Photo Inc. since February 2016, Darren oversees imaging fulfillment services for various platforms. Prior to this role, Darren was an Imaging Systems Engineer at Lasergraphics, Inc., where significant advancements were made in motion picture film scanning products. As the Founder, CEO, and Systems Engineering Manager of Walde, Inc., from 2001 to 2014, Darren designed and manufactured film preservation scanners. Earlier career milestones include serving as Director of Wholesale Digital Products at PictureVision, Inc., contributing to the development of a high-speed film scanner, and holding engineering positions at SunRise Imaging and Lockheed Martin. Darren holds a Bachelor's Degree in Physics and Marine Geophysics from UC San Diego.
