Amanda Beamish is an experienced educator and entrepreneur currently serving as a Supply Teacher for the District School Board Ontario North East since September 2023, and as a Long Term Substitute Teacher for the Conseil Scolaire Catholique De District Des Grandes Rivières since April 2021. As the Owner/Operator of The Fanciful Fox, a home-based company focused on digital marketing materials and children's jewelry, Amanda is in the process of expanding this venture. In addition, Amanda operates Amanda Beamish Marketing as the Executive Creative Director, developing marketing strategies and graphics for various clients since March 2014. With a background that includes roles such as a Substitute Teacher for CSPNE, Online Marketing Coordinator for MCL Safety & Training, and Community Initiatives Coordinator for The Venture Centre, Amanda has cultivated a diverse skill set in both education and marketing. Amanda's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education from Laurentian University, as well as an advanced diploma in Public Relations from Cambrian College.

District School Board Ontario North East is an Ontario English Public School Board serving Northeastern Ontario from Hearst to Temagami. It covers an extensive area of 25,000 square kilometres. Our vision is "To empower all learners to achieve personal excellence." Our main office is located in Schumacher at 153 Croatia Avenue and a secondary office is located in New Liskeard at 198022 River Road. Our schools offer English, French Immersion and Alternate Education programming, including the Early Learning Kindergarten Program with full-day Junior and Senior Kindergarten. We also have a strong online learning community through e-Learning Ontario of the Ontario Ministry of Education.
