Yutai Liao

Yutai Liao has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Starting in 1995, they worked as a Graphic Designer for New Jersey Online. From 1997 to 2005, they served as an Art Director at Jurock New Media, leading the launch of Telus's myBC.com Real Estate portal and collaborating with BC Hydro on a document retrieval website prototype. In 2005, Yutai joined adBrite as a Director of User Experience, where they created wireframes, prototypes, and final designs for the company's advertiser and publisher web UI. They also served as a Product Manager, revamping the product line and developing new advertising products. In 2012, Yutai co-founded CrowdCampaign, focusing on utilizing online advertising for political engagement. They were responsible for designing wireframes, UI prototypes, and final visual designs, as well as creating product specification documents. From 2004 to 2015, Yutai founded and operated Shadow Government, a media group that designed alternative reality games. In 2014, they became the Director of Product Design & User Experience at PayWithMyBank, leading UX/design efforts and doubling conversion rates for key payment flows. Yutai then worked as a Senior UX Designer at WeTrust Platform from 2017 to 2019. Currently, Yutai holds the role of Director of Product at DistroKid since July 2019.

Yutai Liao earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Queens College, completing their studies between 1993 and 1997.
