Richard Foltak

Richard Foltak has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Richard began their career at Bell Northern Research as a Software Architect, where they led a project team and implemented the Incremental Class Loading Operating System Framework. Foltak then joined Nortel Networks as a Senior Software Architect, where they served as the chief architect for the Programmable Service Architecture product.

After that, Foltak worked at Sequel Systems, Inc as an Assistant Vice President and Principal Technology, leading the Special Services Organization and managing a team of software developers. Richard later joined DMR Ventures, LLC as a Managing Partner, overseeing the operations of a bar/restaurant and successfully turning it around for profit.

Foltak also gained experience at Katlof Asset Management, LLC as the President, where they managed speculative international investment portfolios. Richard then joined Cisco as a Technical Consulting Architect and later as a Senior Technical Leader, spearheading architectural direction and leading engineering teams in designing software architectures.

Foltak further expanded their expertise at Verizon as a Distinguished Cloud Infrastructure Architect, focusing on cloud software, platform, and infrastructure architectures, as well as enterprise network, security, and orchestration solutions. Richard continued their career at Deloitte Consulting as a Chief Architect and Chief Solutions Architect, providing expertise in cloud managed services and developing Deloitte's cloud managed platform.

In their most recent role, Foltak joined Dito as the SVP, CISO, and Head of Cloud, where they built and led the organization that won Google Partner of the Year for Security in 2021. Richard is passionate about customer success and has been recognized by Google as an industry thought leader. Foltak's work experience showcases their expertise in cloud technology, architecture, and management.

Richard Foltak completed an Executive Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business from 2007 to 2009. Richard also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Electrical Engineering from McGill University from 1988 to 1992. In addition to their degrees, Richard Foltak holds various certifications in fields such as data privacy, IT management, cloud security, information security, and risk control.
