Caleb Wherry has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Caleb currently works at Diveplane Corporation as a Principal Software Engineer. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Innovation at BMC Software from December 2021 to January 2023.

Caleb also worked at Nexidia as a Principal Software Engineer, where they were responsible for leading the research architecture and infrastructure. Caleb'srole involved prototyping C++, C#, and Python applications for speech processing.
Furthermore, Caleb co-founded Korovasoft, where they conducted research on genetic algorithms and provided software solutions to the scientific community. Caleb was involved in studying computational and topological optimizations in genetic algorithms and reproduction patterns.
Earlier in their career, Caleb worked as a Research Scientist at the Georgia Tech Research Institute, where they developed FPGA analysis tools and conducted applied mathematics research. Caleb also served as an Application Analyst & Developer at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, specializing in document management systems and workflow software.
Additionally, Caleb gained experience as a Research Engineer at Luna Innovations, focusing on secure computing and communications. Caleb developed FPGA analysis tools using graph-theoretic methods and implemented Python QA automation frameworks.
During their time at the Institute for Quantum Computing, Caleb worked as a Visiting Research Scholar, researching genetic algorithm optimizations for quantum pulse sequences in control theory for superconducting and NMR qubit implementations.
Lastly, Caleb gained valuable experience as a Research Assistant at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where they developed astrophysical software and image analysis algorithms for proper motion analysis of pre-planetary nebulae using data from the Hubble Space Telescope.

Caleb Wherry began their education in 2006 at Austin Peay State University, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Caleb successfully completed their degree in 2011. In 2014, Caleb enrolled at the Georgia Institute of Technology to pursue a PhD in Computer Science. However, they did not complete their PhD and their education at Georgia Tech ended in 2015.
