Martin Vovesny

Martin Vovesny has extensive work experience in the field of engineering, with a focus on structural analysis and vehicle engineering. Their most recent position was as a Senior Full Vehicle CAE Engineer at Divergent, starting in July 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Engineer - Structural Analysis at Gordon Murray Design from March 2021 to July 2023. Martin also held the role of Lead CAE Engineer at Altran from October 2020 to March 2021.

Before joining Altran, Martin worked as a Senior Passive Safety & Biomechanics Engineer at McLaren Automotive Ltd from September 2019 to October 2020. Martin also served as a Team Leader CoC Crash Management Systems at BENTELER Group from June 2018 to September 2019.

Martin's earlier experiences include working as a CAE Safety Engineer at NEVS from April 2017 to September 2019 and as a CAE Engineer - Contractor at BENTELER Engineering Services, where they were involved in a research project at Honda R&D Co., Ltd. from December 2015 to March 2017.

Martin also pursued an external cooperation role at Czech Technical University in Prague, where they conducted research on the influence of reinforcement for durability and fatigue damage on steel structures. Martin started their career as a CAE Engineer at Advanced Engineering s.r.o. in January 2014. Prior to that, they gained experience as a bridge engineer at VPú DECO PRAHA a.s. from 2009 to 2013.

Martin Vovesny obtained their Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Czech Technical University in Prague from 2004 to 2007. Martin continued their education at the same university and earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Civil Engineering from 2007 to 2009. Martin then pursued a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Civil Engineering at Czech Technical University in Prague from 2009 to 2015. During their studies, Martin also had the opportunity to study at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology's Faculty of Civil Engineering for one year, from 2013 to 2014. Additionally, Martin has obtained several certifications, such as Optistruct NVH analysis, Optistruct Optimization advanced, and Radioss Advanced from Altair, although the details of when they obtained these certifications are not mentioned.
