Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers (DTAC)

Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers (DTAC) is an award-winning provider of specialized treatment programs serving children, adolescents, and their families throughout Pennsylvania and Delaware. Since 1991, we have been serving the mental health needs of families and their children with compassionate, caring, and effective treatment options. Our cutting-edge treatment programs are administered in schools, clinics, and in our unique residential settings. We provide individual therapy, child & family centered treatment, and long-term residential treatment in small, intimate, family-like settings for adolescents who have experienced physical, sexual, and emotional abuse and trauma. Through a separate and unique treatment course, DTAC has become known as the preeminent provider of residential care for teens that exhibit sexual behavior problems and are motivated to participate in an intensive, solution-focused treatment process. All of DTAC’s treatments are provided by highly trained and certified clinical staff (inclusive of Board Certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists and Nationally Certified Mental Health Professionals), with an emphasis on trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and optimum child development strategies. Treatment planning is derived from comprehensive evaluation and assessment processes utilizing leading clinical instruments such as the ERASOR, AASI-2™, clinical polygraph and the CAFAS™ facilitated by experts with national affiliations such as clinical membership in ATSA and NASW. Individualized, onsite educational programming is provided to all residents to include special education services (IEP) provided by PDE certified instructors. This educational component is provided by the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit.
