Priyanka Narendar

Priyanka Narendar has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Priyanka started their career as a Teaching Assistant at Florida International University from 2008 to 2010. Priyanka then joined Algenol in 2011 as a Senior Laboratory Technician, where they were responsible for studying and monitoring contamination associated with algal cultures. Priyanka also developed SOPs and isolated and identified numerous heterotrophs.

In 2014, Priyanka became a Research Associate at Algenol, where they continued their work in monitoring and enumerating contaminants using high-throughput methods. Priyanka also assisted in the screening of antimicrobial agents and presented findings to cross-functional teams.

Priyanka then advanced to the position of Sr. Research Associate at Algenol in 2015, where their responsibilities included contamination monitoring, data analysis, troubleshooting, and SOP generation for PCR and qPCR based assays.

In 2017, Priyanka joined Seres Therapeutics as a Senior Research Associate in Host Biology. Their role involved isolating and characterizing anaerobic bacteria and conducting experiments to support the development of Designed Ecobiotic products. Priyanka also designed and conducted a proof-of-concept study to establish a gut ecological succession model.

At Seres Therapeutics, they progressed to the role of Sr. Research Associate in Screening and Microbiology, where they executed experiments on lead candidates, assessed their antibiotic susceptibility, and determined their ability to produce disease-relevant metabolites. Priyanka was also involved in regulatory filing and played a crucial role in the SER 155 and SER 301 programs.

Currently, Priyanka is working at Diversigen, Inc. as a Business Development Manager, starting in 2023.

Priyanka Narendar has a strong educational background in the field of science, specifically in immunology and environmental science. Priyanka obtained their B.tech degree in Biotechnology from Anna University in 2008. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Environmental Science from Florida International University, which they completed between 2008 and 2010.

In order to further their knowledge in immunology, Priyanka enrolled in the HMX Online certificate program at Harvard Medical School in 2020. Here, they completed a course on immunology and immuno-oncology. The same year, they also obtained the HMX Pro Immunology-Immuno-oncolgy certification from Harvard Medical School.

Building on their previous educational achievements, Priyanka continued their studies at Harvard Medical School in 2021. Priyanka completed the HMX Pro Online Certificate Program in Immunology, further enhancing their expertise in this field.
