Cathy Light has extensive work experience in a variety of roles and industries. Cathy is currently the Chief People Officer/HR Executive at HR Leaders, a subsidiary of Liderança Group, Inc., where they focus on creating a culture for business to thrive. Prior to this, they founded and led Liderança Group, Inc., a consulting firm that helps organizations navigate disruption and expansion. Cathy is also the Founder/CEO of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, a company that provides DEI strategic consulting services, and Leadership Balance, which delivers leadership principles and strategies. Additionally, Cathy founded and led Assessment Leaders, a company that provides corporate assessment and survey tools, and Be Well Perform Well, which offers wellness program audits to corporations. Cathy is also the Founder & CEO of Business Builders, LLC, which offers organizational and workforce development solutions. Cathy has held various roles at Boise State University, including Adjunct Leadership Professor and advisory board member for the College of Business & Economics. Cathy has also served as a Resource Consultant/Speaker at Vistage and as an Angel Investor at Keiretsu Forum.
Cathy Light completed their education at Harvard Business School, where they focused on Leading High-Growth Business. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Human Resources & Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco. Cathy also holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University. In addition to their formal education, Cathy has obtained several certifications, including WBENC - Certified Women Owned Business from the Women's Business Enterprise Council Pacific (WBEC Pacific). Cathy also holds a certification as a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) from the Institute of Management Consultants. Other certifications that they have obtained include Checkpoint 360, Everything DiSC, PXT Select, and The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team.
