Hugo Carvalho

Hugo Carvalho has worked in various positions since 2011. Hugo began as an Msc. Student at GTA-PEE-UFRJ-COPPE in 2011, and then co-owned and developed for Makinn Solutions in 2012. In 2013, they were the CTO of Ploog, a SSW 2015 TOP 10 startup in the world, and co-founded Solvimm, an AWS Advanced Consulting Partner which was acquired by e-core. From 2015 to 2016, they were the CTO and CIO of Bodytech, the largest chain of gyms in Brazil. In 2018, they were a Senior Startup Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In 2020, they were the Director at BTG Pactual and the Chief Technology Officer at EXAME, the third largest media publisher in Brazil. Currently, they are the Chief Technology Officer at Divibank, a data-driven financing platform.

Hugo Carvalho's education history includes a Middle and High School degree from CAp/UFRJ from 1995 to 2005, a Computer and Information Engineer degree from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro from 2006 to 2010, a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Networks, Internet, Information Security, Virtualization from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro from 2011 to 2012, and a Specialization in Big Data Analytics from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas in 2014. Additionally, Carvalho has obtained several certifications, including ASD.1x: Agile Software Development from edX in March 2018, Certificate Of Completion for Volume I of the Complete Cyber Security Course: Hackers Exposed from StationX in June 2017, Cryptography I from Coursera in April 2012, AWS Certified Security - Specialty from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2019, AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in September 2019, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in September 2019, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in November 2018.
